A peaceful place to reconnect with your hippie, arts roots. The classes they hold onsite are good.
The beautiful restored 1916 Italianate-style villa sets on the bank above Lake Austin. The villa is on the national registries of historic places. There are trails and gardens to explore there as well. We spent an hour sightseeing.

Set in a beautiful, secluded corner of west central Austin, Laguna Gloria is home to AMOA's art school--wonderful classes--and a site for weddings, concerts and other special events.
There is a pottery place where you can sign up to learn how to make your own pottery. Especially in the spring this is a place worth visiting.
I visited Laguna Gloria w/ the intent of seeing the architecture of the old home, built 1916. The home is kept in beautiful condition, but there was not a lot of it to see.
