The hike up was worth the breath-taking views! I particularly liked seeing couples hanging around getting their pictures taken. I totally envy the people who live just by the water! It is worth carrying a picnic up and chilling there or just going up to watch the sun set.

This place is a very high lookout point in the northwest part of the City of Austin. There is a long and fairly steep stairway leading to the top,and it is not suitable for the disabled os people with problems climbing and/or walking.Once at the top,the views to the west are wonderful. It is a nice place to sit awhile and take... It can be a bit of a drive depending on what part of Atx you are driving from. This is a great hike - DON'T WEAR FLIP FLOPS - and there is a beautiful 360 view from the top.

After a nice drive and a breathtaking flight of stairs, you are rewarded with a great view of Lake Austin and it's neighbors. There is also a great view of downtown. Best of all, the price of entry cannot be beat!

I love coming here. The view is always spectacular and there is tons of space to spread out and away from the people. Do remember though, there is a massive hike to get up there so wear some tennis shoes or you will be sorry! Once up there, there are tons of trails you can follow around and step to... More

it was a bit overcast for the sunset, but such a cool vantage point - one direction is downtown, the other is the river and the hills. the stairs weren't a big deal AT ALL.

A little dangerous as far as vehicle security. Be aware and prepared, we are a large city after all. Things happen everywhere. Over all a must see with a date.

We went to the top of Mount Bonnell and saw the city of austin from the top but i wasn't really impressed with the view of the city. I wouldn't visit here again if back in Austin.
