Took the family on a ski trip to Utah last spring. Was particularly interested in Alta because they don't allow snowboarders (one of the few resorts that ban them). There was a lot of terrain for us - intermediate and advanced skiers. The people were friendly, and with our truck, the road in was no big deal. I really liked... More

Great terrain for all levels. Nice long runs for beginners & intermediate that you don't find at the other resorts. Great advanced too. Not a real "resort" ski place, but that's what I love about it. For people who want to ski and not necessarily want to hang out in a ritzy lodge with high priced food. No snowboarders at... More

Deep powder, the most and deepest of any Utah ski resort, no snowboarders, and the best chili I have ever had (at the base cafeteria). a resort for the pure skier.

Skiing is my favorite sport. For years, Alta was one of my favorite resorts. Later they raised their prices, so I switched to Snowbird. Alta is a great resort. It just doesn't rank quite as high as Snowbird in my mind. But I still can't complain.

A true classic for skiing. (Snow stays best at this highest of Utah Ski Resorts. Drive is a little long but totally worth it.

You won't get run over by any snow boarders at Alta. There is plenty of area to ski at any level at Alta. I learned to ski here and I keep going back. It's one of the more affordable resorts and it's got a good variety.

This skier only mountain is my favorite in Utah. Great runs all over for varying levels. Easy to get to from downtown and Sandy via UTA public transport. Some great food and excellent coffee at Alta Java. This is a ski only resort - no snowboards. The better ski rental is at Albion base or powerhouse at Wildcat. Love Alta!
