The Washington Masonic National Memorial is actually quite imposing when seen from afar and even driving up the hill to it. However, the grounds are beautiful, parking was ample, and tours are offered. Tours are $5 for an unguided tour to see the 1st and 2nd floors. $8.00 will get you the self-guided tour and a guided tour that takes... More

When I was younger, this place was very boring to me, but more recently I've enjoyed learning a little more about the Masons. They also have some really nice views of Alexandria from viewing decks at the top, and some concert venues, too.

I knew very little about the Masons and visited the memorial only because of its connection to George Washington. The guided tour was very interesting. There are artifacts from George Washington and others. I learned new information about Masons' values and symbols.

Went there many years ago with my parents. Very impressive and filled with patriotic and religious items of great historic interest.

being a member of a deep rooten large masonic family this was a must see for me. After all, most of the framers of the constitution were Masons and it was build on a SOLID foundation with high moral values, This is an amazing building and makes you realize how important masonic ties are to the organization of the United... The view is the best part about this memorial. Situated on a green hill overlooking Old Town Alexandria, it provides a terrific view of Old Town Alexandria and the Potomac River. Beware, however, that your tour guides will insist that you take the entire tour and hear all about the Masons before you are allowed to go the top and... More

It was just boring. Nice view from up there. Didn't like how boring it was, boring history, etc. I'm sure if you are a Mason you will think it's wonderful. The rooms are cold, too much concrete, too dark, too many echos. Really not what I would call a museum at all. Go for the view from the upper steps... More

We could see this memorial from our hotel room, and we decided to take the tour. The tour was very interesting! You are allowed to take photos, which was great! You get to go up into the tower, which gives you a panoramic view of Alexandria - and you can even see the U.S. Capitol in the distance. You get... More
