Because of our very high success rate, Island Adventures was one of the first and only companies to guarantee whale sightings on every tour - but it's our team of highly qualified crew that will make your trip unforgettable! They boast over 100 years of combined experience in the islands, over 4100 days with the whales, and have led excursions for over 80,000 satisfied customers. « less

I was so pleased with our trip - even though we didn't see any whales! We got caught in traffic and were running late - we called and Island Adventures sent someone out to the parking area to help us park and usher us onto the boat. He filled us in on what we had missed as we walked. Great... More

We booked very short notice while visiting Seattle. We were very hopeful to see some whales and perhaps other wildlife. Island Adventures quickly found whales for us to enjoy. We also managed to see sea lions, bald eagles, and osprey. It was a day to remember for both of us. Strongly recommend this tour if you have any interest in nature... More

We went whale watching March 17th this year. This trip was my first time. We saw three different whales. The staff was very friendly and encouraged and answered questions about the local wildlife.

We saw 3 Gray Whales almost immediately after leaving the Everett, Washington dock. The boat was well equipped and comfortable. The naturalist was excellent. All the boat crew were extremely helpful in letting us know where to look. Lots of photo ops with a telephoto lens but one has to be quick! Be sure to layer your clothes as the... More

We went on the first trip of the season so it was a bit of a gamble but we saw a grey whale within 30 minutes of departure! Capital Carl and the staff really know what they are doing and where to find the whales and other wildlife in the area. Everyone was very friendly and answered everyone's questions. The... More

We had been out with Island Adventures MANY years ago and had a reasonable good time then (took our young grandsons with us), but this latest experience was incredible. We were literally surrounded by the different pods of Orca whales that swim these waters (the Strait of Juan de Fuca near the San Juan Islands and the Canadian border). The... More

We were out for 6 hours. Capitan Mike made sure we had a fantastic time. He spent extra time allowing us to take the perfect shot of these beautiful whales. It was well worth the money and time. If you find yourself in this most charming town take this tour you will not regret it.

From the professional, relaxed and humorous Crew to the spectacular scenery, everything about this trip was awesome. Reservations were quick and easy--friendly staff inside too--no high pressure stuff and no Ferry to take! We started off in a rare sunny environment so hopes were high but quickly ran into a thick deep fog bank and soon the spirits on the... More

What a great tour! We took an early October whale watching tour and were lucky enough to see all three resident pods with over 60 orcas.....we watched them for a long time practically stumbling over each other frolicking in the cold water near Deception Pass. They were breaching, porpoising, spy hopping, back diving, slapping the water with their flukes, and... More

It's a gamble. I spent $200 and 14 hours in an attempt to see whales and failed. The trip was so unenjoyable that even though they offered me another trip for free, it's not worth it. I wouldn't waist another day on one of their trips because I can see all the eagles and seals I want to in my... More
