If you have never snorkeled, do not know how to swim, are older or are nervous under water, choose Alcindo as your guide (no one is allowed to go down the river on his/her own). He is very patient and very professional, and he will make sure you relax and have fun. He will not start going down the river...

...go to Rio Sucuri. It is not as marvelous, with fewer fish, but it is still worth seeing

We have done this attraction in the afternoon, and I would recommend as a tip to do it in the morning, as then you can best take advantage of the great fazenda food (22 Brazilian Reais for each person). We started with the lunch, so we had to keep "light".

In my opinion, Rio da Prata is the best snorkeling tour in Bonito, but the Sucuri is head-to-head, very good snorkeling, with great variety of animals.
