The main thing in this museum is the room with the valuable minerals. Nicely displayed this room alone can easily amuse you for 30 min. Have you been to any other display of this sort in Brazil, there will however be no need to visit this one. The rest of the museum are rather interesting with modern displayed things about...

There are 6 or 7 exhibition rooms, but the most interesting one is "Mineralogia I", where you see precious stones and minerals. Well organized, its located in the building which I believe was the first engineering school in South America. Once in Ouro Preto, do not miss it!!
