My friend and I called a ton of places from our Lonely Planet guidebook at the last minute to do hang gliding in Rio de Janeiro . Just returned from a two week vacation in Brazil with my family. One of the best highlights was definitely hang gliding from Pedra Bonita Mountain in Rio.
