One of the nicest places to visit in the world. Peaceful and quiet Tropical Forest in the middle of a city. Plan to spend hours walking the various paths in the park and don't forget to bring your camera.

This is a peaceful and lovely place to escape for a few hours if the city is overwhelming you! Beautiful long rows of very old Royal Palms, nice restaurant to have have a bit and rest after strolling in the gardens
Pretty gardens. Lovely avenues with large palm trees. Great for a leasurely stroll and to take a break from the busy city.

We loved our visit to the botanical gardens. The main fountain is amazing and the lovely paths lined with all types of trees is just stunning. Bring your camera - there's so much to photograph! We saw sweet little monkeys in the trees and lots of interesting birds. Definitely worth the 15-20 min cab ride from the beaches.
The firsts days we spent in Rio were cloudy so we had to find other options, so we saw good reviews and decided to go. Is cheap, only 6 reales and it is a nice walk with a lovely environment, when we went the orquids and the insectivorous plants were not on exhibit . A little disapointment.
Absolutely beautiful. Big enough to spend a few hours there. A great way to escape the crowdedness of the city and find some peaceful time and space.

I am not sure what month the spectacular blossoms & color come out but I still found it beautiful. You will see monkeys in the trees & very large fish in the ponds. Take a few hours & really...
