If you are in Sao Paulo, you must go there. Art, a nice building and a nice garden around. Try it!

One of the most important museum of contemporary art in SP. It is also a nice place to go and relax, walking around.

This is an interesting place to go for art viewing and for a coffe in front of one of the oldest gardens in town. Take care because it is surrounded by unsafe streets. Go by taxi and leave by taxi.

I visit the Pinacoteca do Estado quite frequently. First, there is parking right outside the building. The blend of the old building and new is fantastic. The permanent exhibition is small but shows a range from old to contemporary art. They have one of the best changing exhibits of São Paulo ( this is my opinion) and a wonderful sculpture... More

The Pinacoteca has lot of modern art, if you like to dig into it. Personnaly I think the academic XIX century art room is even better. The sculptures are worth to be seem. The building was designed by the world renowed engineer Ramos de Azevedo is an artwork itself. Visit it. And it is nearby the Sacred Art Museum and Portuguese... The architecture is simply exceptional. There was a Giacometti installation. I am not a huge fan of his work, but it is well presented in the space. They have a nice collection of painting as well. But, for me, it was primarily about the interior/exterior architecture.

A lovely museum with great installations, exhibitions and a special section of Brazilian art. Situated in a great park, it is well worth a visit. Next to the park (full of wonderful plants and huge trees) one can also vist an old train station nearby. The Pinacoteca is one of the must-see stops if you happen to visit Sao Paulo.

I am not sure if is totally woth to get inside, it is nice, but mostly because of the building, so you should go there and decide how much of free time you have on your hands!

This is a nice place to visit, they have good expositions, but if you get hungry, there is a small coffee place at the last floor with not enough person to attend...
