A nice place to walk by. It´s a huge avenue. There´s everything going on there. Parades, strikes, art shows, live free music, all kinds of styles, bars, restaurants, business centers, parks, museums. To sum up a must-see and must-be place

If you like shopping and/or just like walking with the local crowds on the main thoroughfare in Sao Paulo, this can be a pleasant way to spend a few hours. It's totally safe wide open with lot's of people everywhere.
If you go there once you will miss the contrasted reality, even the same day live in this avenue change fast by the hour, so the early morning is a scene different that the mid morning, lunch time and so on... saturdays? another world, sundays even more changes

seemed like a big avenue from any large city - was apparently staying on one of the nicest blocks, but certainly didn't feel like this was much of an attraction (although was traveling for work, so did not have much time at all to explore - maybe i missed something?)
Like: Nice for walking, and safe. Dislike: Full during the weekdays
Try visiting the park in front of the Trianon MASP. Very beautiful and safe, many trees between buildings.
There are streets all over the world, what makes one special i dont really know. Yes, there are some cool building that worth cheking out for about 2 seconds (unless you are an architect). In my opinion this is overrated and not worth going unless you are spending a decent amount of time in Sao Paulo.
You should visit; it is a picture of São Paulo, always crowded, full of people, buses, cars, beggars. In general it is a beautiful place to walk around, you can go to MASP, take a coffe, or a beer, shopping… its always alive. But take care of your personal belongings, or you can be stolen.
