Mosteiro means monastery. It is a sacred place where John Paul II stayed when he visited SP.

What a basilica! Covered top down of artwork in the core of Sao Paulo. I recomend a lot the singing mass made by the monks, at 10:00 AM all sundays. It is a bit of heaven. At this monastery pope Benedict XVI was when visited São Paulo

It is wonderful to sit there and listen to the Monks and the Gregorian Music. But if they are not there, just listen to the silence that brings so much peace in the middle of one of the most crazy parts of the city. Dons't forget to buy the Bread made there. It is delicious!

It's really cozy inside the church. Probably it's one the best churches I've ever visited.

The Monestary is worth seeing. If you appreciate older Cathedrals, this is definitely one worth seeing. It is small and intimate, but charming and beautiful. It's close enough to the city center and other points of interest that you should fit it into your sight seeing plans.

Sao Paulo is the best place to live in Brazil. The first time I've been here I remember a 'gigantism' sensation.

Just a typical church. Would have appreciated it more if we'd gone when they have Gregorian chanting,
