Definitely worth a visit to the Shwethalyaung reclining Buddha temple. This is regarded as one of the most serene of the reclining Buddhas in Myanmar and depicts Buddha in a relaxing Buddha. You first pass another temple with a very large outdoor reclining Buddha. A little bit further there is a second pagoda with a very big indoor one.

The temple is not as beautiful as most of the temples we’ve seen in Myanmar. However the Buddha statue in this temple is very impressive because of its size and elegance. One of many pagodas worth a visit on a trip to Bago - the reclining Buddha is protected by a rather unattractive "shed", but the actual figure is impressive. There are also some naively executed, but quite charming, murals around the statue.
