Rafted on Yulong NW of Yangshuo - best scenery and quieter. Very relaxing.

Popular spot for floating down the river. There are several places to get on - many many rafts but not a problem. Saw two wedding parties on the way down and enjoyed the scenery

The Yulong river is the smaller river in Yangshuo. We went on a bamboo raft cruise for 2 hours and even though it was raining it was very lovely.

Took a 2 hour bamboo raft down this stretch of river and it was very peacful,the only place that real bamboo rafts are operating as far as im aware.The other rafts on over stretchs of river are plastic pvc with engines but advertised as bamboo.

we went for a little cruise of 1,5 hour on the yulong river on those bamboo traditional boats. Passing the little cascades was fun

Lots of action on the river. Above Yangshuo a plethora of ferries ply their trade from Guilin. It seems that dockin time in Yangshuo is about 13.00 when the docks and lower town are turned to chaos.The river was in flood when we visited, which added a surreal touch to a dynamic setting.

We spent a couple of great days just cycling and walking alongside the river.The locals are usually friendly although some farmworkers were not keen on being photographed.After heavy rain the bamboo boats do not operate due to the flood currents
