Lasha is famous for its Potala Temple. However, it is too far away and too up high. So, if you want to get a similar feeling, visit Chengde's Small Potala instead. Chengde is located about 230Km north-east of Beijing. It is a popular one or two day trip destination for expatriates living in Beijing. It still takes 3 1/2 hours... more
