This is a great place to go with younger children. There is a really good water park included in the admission price and lots of kid friendly rides. The park is well kept, it's relatively inexpensive and not super crowded. The drawbacks are for the older kids-not many thrill rides and just a few coasters-but the water park makes up... more

This park shouldn't be considered a destination for long-distance travel (like Cedar Point or Busch Gardens), but if you're in Birmingham and need a day outing to entertain the kids, it's worth considering. The amusement park and the water park are now combined under one admission ticket. The park was generally clean and only a few attractions were out of... more

They were no tubes for the lazy river. You could rent some, but after the over priced ticket you would think they would have more than 10 tubes for everyone.Every ride I wanted ride was closed everything seemed to be getting repairs. Finally a log ride after waiting for repairs, very short trip, then a cute pic you can look at... more

I live in birmingham so I travel to alabama adventure quite a bit, but I would be mad if I traveled to this place from out of state. This theme park only has two roller coasters and two rides that you would get wet on located on the theme park side. The log ride is shut down quite a bit... more

With Six Flags just 2 hrs. away - this theme park really suffers in comparison. In reality, it is a water park with a few rides thrown in. The water park is nice with several cool slides, a wave pool, etc., but the theme park is just an overhyped county fair. Younger tweens and children will like the entire park,... more

I’ve been to many amusement parks and water parks (see my reviews). I am pretty fair of my reviews and will do so for Alabama Adventure as well. I purchased a season pass to both parks this season – 2008. I live within 5 miles of this park. This park was recently purchased by Adrenaline Family Entertainment - http://www.afeparks.com. Visited w/family today (July 19, 2005) and came away sort of luke warm about the place. First the good: 1) Pretty clean, staff (mostly European teens) did a good job 2) Plenty of things to do for smaller tikes 3) Smaller, so your not totally exhausted be day's end. 4) Plenty of cold water and drinks (more on that later)... more

visionland is a small park located in bessmer al the lines were some what long but the waiting time wasn't bad . the water park was exciting playing in the wave pool catchin a cool breeze as the giant bucket dumped water on spectators below. after a few trips down the water slides it was nice just to relax in... more
