Great atmosphere! Turn to the right at the gatehouse and look for arrows marking the way. I don't advise going here alone on a weekday. It was a half hour before I saw another person in this vast place. more
Stopped over very briefly before lunch. Didnt go on the tour but did explore the grounds for a bit. Looks like a cool place and would like to go back. Cool view of it from the highway as well. more
Having lived in the Birmingham area for 4yrs, and frankly disappointed by the lack of things to do, especially with kids, I was absolutely thrilled to visit Sloss furnaces. We've been to McWane, we've been to the zoo (poor animals is all I can say), we've been to whistle stop cafe and they've all been less than we were expecting....but... more
