I visited Lijiang in Yunnan Province for three days in August 2009. I stayed at the Mountain Peak Inn in the Old Town. I really enjoyed my experience there. The old town has come under a lot of fire for being Disney-ish and touristy, but despite this, I thought it was well worth a visit. it is quite fun to wander down the cobble streets, taking whatever turn you fancy.
