Check the noticeboard in the hotel for adhoc concerts in the courtyard of the monastery. Some may be quite amateur such as the guitar classes for children while others are almost professional choirs. Sit around the fountain on cushions or on plastic chairs but become involved in the local culture. Love it Ossie

Attendeda a wonderful violin and piano recital here during July 2010. It was unbelievably beautiful.

Very nice and look for the huge tree in the back that has its branches splayed out in a massive web. Very nice historical background.

Interesting place, hoever only one monk lives there now. He is also an scuptor and use usually around to talk to and visti his atelier.

Museum has two rooms of paintings, a dining room with a painting of the last supper and a small display of articles recovered from wrecks. Make sure you see the Last Supper painting while visiting Hvar town. This monastery is located at the far end of the riva and is worth a quick visit.
