Kivu Lake is between DRC and Rwanda, Its very beautiful but as I had seen Tanganyika Lake before this so the attraction was a little dull for me. It has various types of fish in it but they dont grow much in size because of the large amount of Methane Gases in the Lake. Rwanda has Methane extracting Plant also...

The scenery is dense, green, mountainous with sparsely populated islands. Lost a small bays nestled away hiding ancient fishing villages and some beautiful beaches. If you are lucky enough to stay at either a hotel or house which backs onto the lake, then get a bottle of wine and some snacks and relax and enjoy!
