We enjoyed walking around the lake, had a view of mt.batur volcano, saw a lot of buildings and seats in the vicinity made of lava.I never knew that lava can be used instead of stone.Interesting!

This trip was fabulous. A bit of hard work getting to the top but the view was totally worth it!
We prebooked our accommodation and tour - this helped with not getting hassled I think. We didn't find the locals bad at all as others have said on Tripadvisor.
Advice, take a couple of Bananas, a head torch and a...

We went looking for the hot springs and after being approached by many 'helpful' locals all claiming to be artists we became weary. We got offered accommodation every step of the way and the closer we got to the hot springs the more we kept getting the run around. Whilst the rest of bali has been a great experience this...

Visit mouth batur and can see clearly the lake. good scenery, but when stop at the view-platform, a lot of local people come to selling all Batik and handmade things. can do a visit but it is not a must. Mountain hiking is strongly recommenden and it is more meaningful than other sightseeing activity.
The panorama of the lake and the volcano is AMAZING and extremely beautiful, however its also extremely unfortunate that the local sellers in the area were so pushy and irritating. Beware also of people trying to offer you boat trips to the trunyan graveyard across the lake, they are mostly fraud and would try to charge you ridiculous prices. This...

We admired the view of Kintamani volcano and Lake Batur from a distance but it was enough to be touched by the scenery and what the volano has created. Everything was fine until locals came and we were pressed so much to buy something that run away immediately.
is located in Kintamani sub district, Bangli Regency and about 50 km from Denpasar Town. if you want to go there you should go early around 8 am. Kintamani area owns the beautiful panorama of an awesome volcano (mount Batur) and great view of batur lake with a little cold air but all the mixtures was amazing and refreshing your...

Have to agree with the previous reviewer with regards to the hassle you will get the minute you set foot in Kintamani. We didn't plan to come here but our taxi driver brought us. I had hoped for a quiet bit of road where we could pull in and savour the view but this was hellish. Beware and would definitely...

As we took boat ride through Lake Batur to a point where our driver was waiting for us to pick us up, we appreciate the quietness of the village, magificant views of Mount Batur, the refreshing cooling feeling just by putting your hands inside the lake water. We were happy that the weather is good.
At Uluwatu Temple, you need a stick to beat off the monkeys. Here, you need a stick to beat off the locals.
Immediately upon arriving in Kintamani, they have a roadblock set up next to the museum to extract money from any tourists driving in. Careful, the guy here tried to shortchange me for 20,000 rp.
From the time you...
