We did an all day four wheel drive tour with Mohammad Halilat through the Wadi Rum. It is what you would picture as a desert. It is vast, with giant sandstone cliffs rising out of the desert. You can scarcely imagine what it is you will see and experience spending a day four-wheeling through the Jordanian desert between jagged mountains that rise up to grand heights all around you. You just have to do it! One of my most satisfying trips ever!

Huge, stunning, unspoilt and so quiet - I have never known peace like it. Wonderful place to spend a few days and forget the rest of the world exists.

People comes to Jordan mostly to visit Petra ,,, if you don't experience wadi rum you missed it all

We hired a jeep with guide to see Wad Rum at the entrance. I wanted to seen the jeep before we payed the fee. Finally we ended up in a different jeep of at least 30 years old. Halfway we had a mechanical failure and it took 20 minutes to get the jeep running again. The desert is not impressive... More

Best time to go is in april or may. Food selection is ok but nothing special. People are really nice and tourist police all over Jordan do make you feel safe. prices are reasonable and over the top. My partner and I have not long returned from an amazing trip to Jordan where we spent 2 nights at the fantastic Bait Ali Camp.
