Small museum, best worth the visit. Some excellent photos. Wish there were more photos as well as relics found at the site.
The museum had great information particularly about the infastructure below and around Machu Picchu that you can't see but is essential to its function and longevity. An understanding of the engineering is critical to really appreciating it. The museum is well done and really increased our enjoyment and appreciation of Machu Picchu and all Inca construction.
It's a little out of the way--you have to walk down the road to Machu Picchu, about 1.5 km to the bridge and then the museum is tucked in the woods to the right after the bridge. The walk was actually pretty cool along the raging river, but there are buses passing frequently and it was rainy and muddy (Feb)....
