Beautiful views and peaceful at night! The only thing I disliked is paying for someone to keep my shoes while I walked around. All temples require you to walk barefeet, which is fine, but they ask you to pay while you leave you shoes with the guy at the front!
Its good to visit if you are doing the cultural triangle. Better in the morning or evenings
Very nice, authentic and quiet place. I definitely recommend it!
It's a long climb up with lots of steps. The good thing is that there are stages where you can catch your breadth. There is an entrance fee of 500 LKR.
Read up on the history of Buddhism in Sri Lanka before going there. Of course you can take guides but a little homework is useful to appreciate the creations...

dont forget to travel this palce on yo trip to A'pura. such a valuable historic place...
great views from the top of the hill. a wonderful little gem
A great place to begin one's cultural triangle exploration. A birthplace of sort, that offers spectacular views of the area. A few of the locals asking for currency for their children was a little weak and annoying. I was glad that the monkeys were not too friendly. Socks could be a good idea as the ground does get hot.
Nice peaceful wooded area around the monument, very pleasant
Very interesting - our driver guide was very knowledgeable which helped a lot. Lot of steps to climb and rough on the feet when you have to give up your shoes. All very clean and tidy..
