Considering its religious significance, the bodhi tree is truly underwhelming, After a long barefoot walk past some nondescript ruins, a magnificent dagoba, and some very entertaining troops of monkeys, you arrive at an enclosure surrounding an inner wall with a nondescript tree sticking out. There's quite a lot of praying going on, but no spectacular ceremonies while we were there....
