My 2 sons and I enjoyed a day trip to Desoto Caverns. It was a great day trip. My sons enjoyed the attractions more than the cave tour. Facilities were nice and clean. This would be a great place to take a picnic lunch. There is a covered brigde and grist mill near by. more

When you get here, everything about it screams tourist trap. That's true. Still, the caverns are really interesting and I think it's a fun place. The light show in the cavern made me laugh more than anything I've ever experienced in my life... worth the price of admission for that.... only in Alabama. ;) more

The cave tour was very cool. It was well worth the price of admission. The other attractions are probably great for kids, but seemed a bit hokey. If you head this way, stop and eat at Richey's BBQ in Harpersville, AL. It is about 5 or so miles from the cave. more

I go every year to the indian festival at Desoto Caverns. There are lots of little rides for the children, great food, and indian craft booths, and the caverns gift shop is also nice.
