Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well organised walk. Mr. Awdesh Tripathi , with his good commanding voice, he had kept everyone's interest alive with small stories, anecdotes and details. So much history seeped in every monument. If you want to know Delhi more in details walk with any of the team member of Delhi Heritage walks is a must for every one.
I enjoyed the walk completely. I would recommend every one to do it.

Enjoyed the walk and Awadhesh made it interesting with his storytime. It also made me feel good as we have forgotten a lot of our history but with such walks we are making an effort to at least make people aware of how much history and heritage our country has.

Amazing walk through the lanes of mehrauli. Saw the Zafar and jannnat mahal which I did not know existed. Thanks for this gorgeous 3 hour long walk through history. Looking forward to many more walks especially in Hindi.

A thoroughly enjoyable walk. We visited a fantastic curation of hidden monuments in Mehrauli, places you probably wouldn't go to otherwise, and learnt about their fascinating, inter-connected histories. Mr. Awadesh, our guide, regaled us with stories and myths from across historical periods featuring the Mahabharata, Lodis, Mughals and Britishers. This is surely the best way to engage with history. Would highly recommend.

Excellent walks, short distances not too much walking. U dont have to take out half a day if u r on a sightseeing schedule in Delhi. Lovely to go off the normal tick in the box itinerary that one finds online. The best part is that they do customised walks as well. The leaders are students/ professors historians and intersperse their history with local legend. All in all a great experience

We thoroughly enjoyed this guided walk. We are usually wary of guides in India, but (even on the strength of one walk) I think that Delhi Heritage Walks is a serious operation. Kanika is a lively, well-informed and charming guide who loves the site, and brings to it a good mixture of historical and architectural information, plus an ability to paint a picture of how the fort and its setting would have looked.

Please note, there are no facilities in/near the fort apart from a tiny chai stall just below the entrance. It's surprisingly little visited: we were there on a Sunday, and it was far from crowded. A good choice for a weekend day out away from crowds.

At Tughlakabad, ruins stand tall, enticing heritage lovers and urchins alike. The fort was rescued by ASI and resurrected by Kanika Singh through her hugely subscribed walk in this fort. Every nook and corner are friends with her, and her narrative instills vitality into the cursed fort. Legends and tales flow seamlessly with the history of the place, without sounding too academic or apocryphal. There's a lot of humour thrown in, with several discoveries and revelations along the way. This place clearly belongs to the witty walk leader who encourages her fellow walkers to let their imagination run around so much that the three hour trek up the ramparts and down the baoli doesn't become tiresome. Don't miss the opportunity when you get one,I had to wait for three months to get a chance to walk with her.

Was instructive and entertaining in equal measures! Tughlaqabad is an immense complex (although not much remains of the old structures) so a great way to work out/exercise in the morning as well while enjoying Kanika's (our walk leader's) story telling.
