beautiful nandhi. in and around the temple, all the sign boards are in kannada. management can consider preparing the sign boards with English, which would be easy for the tourists from other states.

Located little high up on the hill, this temple is highly respected among the locals. As a tourist, you can pay a visit. There are 3 lines, one free, one for Rs. 20 and another for Rs. 100. We stood in the second line. Darshan was completed within 30 min. We went at 8 in the morning. Pleasant experience. But... More

It is on the Chamundi hills, 30 mins drive up the hill from Mysore. The temple is also nice. Recently there is a KSRTC volvo service from Mysore. The view of Mysore from the top is very good.

Chamundi Hills is close to the palace city of Mysore. Its average elevation is 1,000 metres. A panoramic view of the city is seen from the top of the hills. Among other landmarks, you can see the racecourse, the Lalitha Mahal palace, Mysore Palace, Karanji and Kukkarahalli lakes. At dusk, the view of the city is especially beautiful, and on... More

got there by bus on a sunday. it was really crowded and there are a lot of tourist-shops full of crap (teddybears etc.) the temples are kitchy without a long tradition and the walk down was nothing special either. although the hill is very high, you dont have a great view of the city. it was a real pity to... Chamundi temple is located on top of the hill. There are two options to reach the temple stairs 1000 steps or by road. Climbing the hill it's a great way to spend time with friends. The steps steep at some places though. Awesome views of Mysore on the way. You will find Nandi once you cover about 800 steps. Once... More
