I don't mindwalking around in my bare feet, especially when there's good reason. I found this trip memorable and, being Scottish, was very interested to learn that many of the steel structures, columns, beams, etc were made in Scotland. The only thing missing was a stall selling Irn Bru! You should hire a personal guide, otherwise there's no point- aimlessly... more

visiting the mysore palace is quite an ordeal. please dont bother taking your cameras to the palace because you are asked to leave it in a locker in a room (our camera was returned to us safely). also i woud recommend carrying along an extra pair of socks as you are asked to take of your shoes and deposit them... more
