Don`t miss many secret rooms and coridors. Go in the morning and you can ride an elephant up the hill.

The view is amazing! The old wall paintings are beautiful and the whole place gives off a strange buzz.

Although it had been my favourite place on my last visit to India this time was just as special .A classical romantic Rajastanti palace, the wall would remind one of the great wall of China.Lots of paintings still have survived (well have been restored) Jag Mandir well worth a visit . Hall of victory all the walls and ceiling embedded with... More

An expansive fort with walls extending over the surrounding hills. It must have been magnificent before all the decorations were removed. Now it is mostly an empty shell.

A massive fort on the hillside overlooking Jaipur. It was an extremely lasrge complex with many different levels, buildings and a huge courtyard when you first enter. The Amber Fort is the most famous and important attraction of the surroundings of Jaipur. Magnificent and majestic, located a few miles outside the city. The fort, located atop a fortress can be reached by car or on elephant back, we recommend getting in the car, At the end of the tour is an excellent cafeteria

Well Maintained, and well organised. Easy to tour without the help (disturbance) of any guides. Thogh some parts are out of bounds for renovation (damaged beyond repair?), the tour inside is worthwhile.

Loved the elephant ride although you must arrive early in the day as they are only allowed so many round trips up and down to the fort! Also, there will be men taking photos on your ride up. I'd recommend smiling for the cameras since you can barter down the price and get them for next to nothing. We made... More

Take an elephant up to the amber fort. It is gorgeous but allow a couple of hours to wander around.
