My boyfriend and I went to the Dera Amer camp last November during our trip to Rahjastan. It was without doubt the highlight of our trip, a simply magical experience that neither of us will ever forget. Like other reviewers we got to bath, paint, ride and feed Lakshmi the elephant. The staff were warm and friendly and obviously care... More

We rode elephants whilst sipping champagne as the sun set and the full moon took over. Later we played elephant polo which was followed by a tasty dinner. Really magical, fantastic evening and the owner is a great host. Definitely recommended.

If you have children with you - or simply love elephants, this is a wonderful opportunity to get close to them. Undoubtedly my 13 year old daughter's favourite part of our holiday - she got to feed Lakshmi, our lovely elephant, before washing her in a bathing pool, painting her trunk and then embarking on a half hour ride through... This was the highlight of our holiday and yes I would class it as an elephant ride rather than a safari, but just spending one hour on one of these magnificent creatures as they plod along is such a privilege. The elephants seemed well cared for and we helped to bath one of the elephants, don't know who had more fun or who... This is one of those attractions where I'm mystified by the TA reviews. I can see how the attraction would be great for kids. I have a three year old and I know she's absolutely love it. But I was travelling with a friend, a "girl's trip" away from the hubby and baby, and I was expected a lot based... More

Seems like the day ride with lunch is not appreciated by everybody though it has been by many earlier and even now. Anyhow we shall add elephant painting and interactive live cooking sessions to the experience to enhance the product and keep in comparison to the sunset ride which has been appreciated by all with the usage of the flame... Udaijit laid on a spectacular elephant safari along a forested route of his estate in Dera Amer and just when we thought it was all over, we found torch lights lit outside the temple on the estate. We felt pampered, regaled and slightly spoilt, going back into an era of yesteryears. We stopped for champagne and with our glasses in... More

We thought this was a great attraction! We had dreamed about riding elephants. It is unbelievable that you find such a quiet place to experience the outdoors so close to the hussle and bussle of a big city. The food was wonderful. The outdoor verandah made me think of what an authentic British Raj experience must have been like. The... More

It was around $80 each including dinner and drinks (student price). The elephants were adorable. Actually they were hue and kind of scary, but very calm. They seem to have a nice life at dera amer. It was great getting to paint the elephants trunk and give him bananas. The buildings at the complexe were beautiful white marble and the... More

Myself and my wife had a memorable journey to Rajasthan during end of December. The outstanding was the trip to Dera Amer. The host Mr. Udaijit Singh gave us an excellent welcome with a glass of fresh lime juice. They gave banana to us and asked us to feed the elephant there. We had an elephant ride in their property.... We are a family of six and were charged 30,000 rupees for a 25 to 30 minute elephant ride followed by a lunch buffet (alcohol extra). The ride involves going through nondescript brush and we saw a few peacocks. The food was of good quality with nice ambiance. We were done in about 90 minutes. While I am a bit... More

We regret and apologise if the duration of the ride was upto the guests liking however wonder if the guide accompanying them or the travel agency they booked the ride through requested for a short ride.Either way the staff and management should have inquired with the guests.Sincere apologies!! The 'nondescript brush' the guest has reffered to is the natural semi... More
