Best known landmark of Kolkata, especially among out-of-towners, as the first glimpse of this bridge over the Ganga is a sign that they are entering Howrah station, the main gateway into the city. Missing the old trams trundling over the bridge though. Still the busiest bridge in Kolkata and free of tolls. more
