The Maidan is a nice park. Definitely worth a stroll if you are in the area for some other reason such as the Victoria Memorial or if you want to get away from the steets for a while. more

the Maidan is a vast stretch of field situated in the heart of Kolkata.various famous places are loated in the near by areas of maidan like victoria memorial , kolkata race course etc.the best view of the Raj Bhawan or the Governor's House can be seen from the Maidan.the Maidan is so green and huge that it is referred as... more
