It is a very old and beautiful tourist spot with an large area, however failed in terms of tourists safety.

Tourists not to miss “Marco Zero” which is one of the most visited area of Old Recife. Look closely at the bronze plate which says "The distances are measured in Recife from that point".
Most important events like Carnival celebrations, political rallies, election rallies are held around this area. .
Do look at the old buildings for architectural interest, restaurants...

The place where everything began. The only problem are the boring street vendors. Excellent point to take pictures.
