The Fort & museum was a great site to visit. It is wonderful to see all the history at this site. Smaller fort than I thought it would be & the buildings & structures were so weird how they looked & were built...it was so interesting. Having been vacationing in the Fort Morgan area for 20 years, I was pleased to finally make it to 'the Fort'. Much of the original, Civil War era fort remains, with some modifications having been made for WWI and WWII. Sadly, the beach club does not deliver. Our unit was in very poor condition -shower door dangerously falling off hinges, broken washing machine that maintenance was unable to fix during our 4-night stay, and another closet door falling off the hinges. On a recommendation from a client, we planned a family vacation to the Alabama Gulf Coast.
