We visited Huntsville on our way down to Florida and stopped at the Depot to see what it was all about. A small entrance fee includes a guided tour if you are interested. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the depot. The actual depot holds a three floor museum including a working model train. Outside... More

A great place for history buffs and also for school class trips. Lots of interesting stories. I was amazed at the Civil War history behind this Depot.

you can purchase a package deal and visit quite a few areas in downtown Huntsville, definitely worth your time

We went with another couple ~ both the guys are train buffs so we stopped by this depot museum. The exhibit turned out to be much more comprehensive than we expected. If you are a history buff, definitely come here. The kids will love the restored fire engine back in the garage. They can crawl all over it and blow the siren and run the red lights. For the adults, there is much history to see here. Our tour guide seemed kind of rushed but then you are free to explore... More
