While walking around this hill you start to get some impression of wehat life must have been like for the early European merchants and public officials that came to Melaka to seek their furtune. The many grave memorials on display tells some interesting stories of the hardship that these people had to deal with.
Important historical site. However the city council should really do a better upkeep of the site. Seems too many hawkers around, hogging up space. The wall is being desecrated by vandals or plain stupid teenager confessing their love on historic walls. And if you look behind the tombstones, you'll find rubbish shoved there. if you look up, you'll notice trees...

When you visit Melaka this is one of the things you have to see. Especially when you are from the Netherlands this is a must see.
Good views of the area and some interesting history. Fewer hawkers than down below.
You can almost see the whole of malacca town from this hilltop. Once u r on top, u will understand why the Portuguese build a fort here. The A farmosa is just at the foot hill.

worth a walk up, but a shame about the tourist shops, music and photos with animals which did not go with what should have been a peaceful and holy place.
