Very well restored and / or maintained. Gorgeous exterior and interior. It speaks volumes for religious tolerance that the temple is next to a Muslim mosque, which is a few steps away from a Hindu temple. more

The Cheng Hoon Teng Temple is the oldest Chinest temple in Malaysia, dating back to 1644. It is interesting to spot the different additions to the temple and how the style has changed over the years. We saw it in the lead up to Chinese New Year and the additional decorations, prayers, incense made for a great experience. more
