This museum is housed in a beautiful building across from the magnificant Alabama Shakespere Festival. I found myself saying "this is Montgomery Alabama???". The permanent collection includes a John Singer Sargent, William Merritt Chase and an Edward Hopper!!! and more. The children's section has lots of hands on activities. There is a cute little cafe, gift shop and ducks to... more

For a city this size, the museum is very nice. It has a respectable permanent collection. When I visited, there was an interesting decorative arts exhibit. It is free admission. The building is new, nice, and light. It is in a beatiful cultural park with the Shakespeare theatre. more
