I went when I was a little girl with my girl scout troop. I remember that I had been reading books about the time when Helen was a little girl and it was wonderful to have real pictures to go with the stories.

Ivy green is great to visit any time, however I'd especially advise it during the Helen Keller Festival. The local rendition of the "Miricale Worker" is on the grounds behind the house where the famous "Pump" scene takes place. For a small town, it's a Gem.

Not touristy, unspoiled. Makes Helen Keller come alive. What an inspirational story, which is so well fostered by a vist to her home.

Great field trip and fun for families- Helen Keller was an amazing woman, so was her teacher Anne Sullivan.

The docents give a great tour. Don't miss the play "The Miracle Worker" in the summer. Local actors do a great job.

Ivy Green is the childhood home of Helen Keller. The women who serve as tour guides are knowledgeable and hospitable. The house and grounds are beautifully kept. My daughter and I stopped here during a road trip and we were so glad we did.

We try and hit up a performance of "The Miracle Worker" every year. No the story doesn't change, but the performance definitely does. They do have a festival in celebration of Helen every year and this is a neat time to be in the area. If you want to avoid the crowds, visit another time. The box office will take... More

We went to the June outdoor performance of "The Miracle Worker" on a Saturday evening. Whew, was it hot. Bring some water, or buy a drink from the concession stand. If you get first class assigned seating, you will have a front row seat with padding. If not, you will be assigned to bleachers and probably not quite as comfortable.... More
