This was my first time rappelling down waterfalls so the thought was exciting but scary at first. I've been mini waterfall climbing in the carribeans, but water fall rappelling is the real deal. You get four different size waterfalls, from 10ft to 200ft. We had a group size of about 14 ppl and 6 guides. There were times I thought... More

I went there solo, but the staff there are so nice and make me feel warm. Food is great, view is just fantastic, you can actually walk in the jungle. Most importantly, it's very safe, u can fully trust the crew.

We did this tour with Desafio Tour company. You started off driving in the bed of a 4 wheel drive vehicle down a long dirt road until we reached what they called the canyon house. This is where we left all of our stuff while we were actually doing the rappelling. It was raining on the day that we did... More

I rock climb, so I am used to ropes and harnesses. My wife, on the other hand, was quite nervous about it. The guides were so energetic, but competent. They clearly had a lot of fun doing what they were doing. They were laughing, joking, encouraging, enthusiastic, just all around awesome. But they were very firm on making sure we... More

Our guides were awesome! Carlos, Esteban, and Edson--you guys were great! They were very helpful and made the trip super fun! And of course, they always made sure we were safe. One of our group member's shoes fell apart so one of the guides gave him his shoes and continued on barefoot. I was a bit scared on the first... More

We did Desafio's canyoneering trip on 1/4/12. It was so much fun. We loved it more than ziplining, which we did with Skytrek in Monteverde. It is a lot more athletic/physical. You can't just phone it in like you do with ziplining. Basically anyone can do ziplining as long as you have the stomach for the thrill of it -... More

110% recommend this. The staff was fun and helpful. The canyon was beautiful and the experience was great. Great way to start learning how to repel. The meal was great too!

We did the Lost Canyon Adventures Canyoneering tour with Desafio about two weeks ago. The tour started with a quick bus ride to a Safari-style truck which took us up to Desafio's canyon house where we got changed into our gear (harness, gloves, helmet). Then we took another short ride up to the start of the canyoneering/hike. Our guides were... More

This adventure was booked through Desafio Adventure Company. We were picked up at the hotel and taken to the Lost Canyon Adventures Canyoneering base. We took our "jungle limo's" to the starting point and then walked a little ways into the jungle to our first rapell. I think I was expecting to rapell down big waterfalls and not as much... More
