Took colectivo for 800 colones in Jaco 1 hr ride to puntarenas ,stay at the imperial hotel right across the bus terminal,for 40 bucks,other hotels more expensive along the malecon crowded beach,best option stay there for a day,catch the Ferry for 2 dollars to playa Tambor link to other clean playas like montesuma or tamarindo.
