For a car drive I'd say this was a good lookout, but Magic Mountain was better. Still a great vista, though. We took Dammon's ATV up here and it was perfect. Paved, wooded roads were a nice plus.

Visited twice - once in the AM and once in the PM. Would recommend the AM. Beautiful and give you a good view of the island.

Great photo opportunity. We went there twice. Morning light is better for photos of "shark tooth" peak!

Need I say more? Just be prepared for the ride up as it is a tight road.

Great photo op. We rented a car and drove up their ourselves.

Moorea isn't huge and you could probably drive non stop all the way around in a bit over an hour. So if you take a half day hire of a car you have plenty of time to take in sights like this. I only wish that I had the opportunity to climb to the top of the Crater. Now that... More
