THIS WAS THE BEST PLACE IN ALASKA THAT WE VISITED! After traveling down a very long road, we found it very rustic and beautiful. A short walk to a very beautiful riverfront, we took our pans and little bags of dirt and tried our new skill. Only a few flecks were found, but we were there more for the thrill... more

We went with the intention of panning for gold - this is an actual mine were the pans are not seeded. This website - [--] - states that panning is $8.00 but that is no longer the case. It is $10 to pan and if you just want to walk around it's $3 per person - which is not mentioned... more

We enjoyed Crow Creek Mine. It is $10 per adult to pan and I think $3 or $5 for kids. It is less if you just want to walk around. They loan you the pan and give you a bag of dirt (note: we were all successful with two tiny flakes) and a container for your new found riches. After... more
