I got off the bus critical and cynical. Not only was Jeff a great story teller, he knew his facts straight up w/o extra verbage. It was most easy to actually relax on this tour and we had an abysmally rainy day. They supplied umbrellas! I'd do it again in a hurricane.... more

On our way to Mendenhall glacier we stopped for an hour to tour the Green Angel Gardens. The gardens are lovely and the walk was easy and leisurely. There were beautiful wildflowers all along the path, each one identified by numbered posts. Wildflowers, berries, shrubs, trees, ferns and mosses and lichen were abundant along the trail. While touring Juneau, I was fortunate to have been able to visit Green Angel Gardens. This was a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing walk through a natural garden which emphasized native Alaskan plants.
