Musk Ox are huge. It is under new management and we hope more inviting. We wish them success. A visitor must see.

Totally worth your time! We learned a lot of interesting information from our tour guide, Janell. She was really nice and was very knowledgable about the Musk Oxen and the farm's domestication program. We were able to take our time and got lots of cool pictures. The Musk Oxen were absolutely adorable to see in person!

Although I like to support places like this, we really didn't get to see much on the day we were there. The small museum is the best part.

They are really big in person. We got to pet a baby. It's just interesting if you've never seen them in person. Worth the trip.

We have been there with three groups of family visitors and everyone loved it. The young people who are the guides are sweet and friendly and knowledgeable.

We called ahead to the Musk Ox Farm on our way to Anchorage. We were told that the farm was closed, but that one of the handlers would open it for us to see the Musk Oxen. The employees at the farm were very friendly and knowledgable. The Musk Oxen were being domesticated to supply cut fur for clothing. Musk... More

The farm is a fascinating place, raising musk oxen in order to domesticate them for the future. The tour was great and the tour guide was very helpful and educational. We got to feed and pet one of the friendlier, bottle-raised musk ox which was great. There is some neat stuff in the visitor's centre as well, such as a... More

The musk ox farm is located about 7 miles N of Palmer with a large sign indicating a turnoff for @ 1/3 mile ride to the farm. This is about 1/2 hour guided tour, and a short walk from the headquarters building. If you would like to see the only mammal that has survived the ice age and that has... More

Travel out of our way to visit this place only to be turned away at the entrance due to them having a large group touring and wouldn't accomodate individuals, don't waste your time.
