I went to visit this amazing part of the great wall. I was a bit lonely because it was very freezing day. Anyway, it worth the visit just to say I have been there.

After a long bus ride through the country from the port of Xingang we finally arrived at this truly amazing structure. We climbed for 2 hours and saw the picturesque countryside. The Great Wall could be seen going off in to the distance over mountains and valleys. The path started very well paved but as you approached the next mountain... More

I often take guests here. Rarely see more than a handful of other tourists, so it is quite and relaxed, and the mountains are beautiful, even in winter. DO NOT eat at the restaurants, as they are merciless in their charges, which do not appear on the menu! Expect to pay about 3-4 times the regular price for meals; better... More

The Great Wall is the thing that I want to see the most when visiting China. Whoever built this was a true genius! It’s all rock and rock but put together it became one of the most precious wonders of the world. I walked along the great wall for almost one hour, and the experience was amazing. You guys should... Took a car from my hotel in Tianjin up to the wall, which is about a 2.5 hour drive. It's very cold up there now, but because of that it was very a quite and peaceful experience walking up the wall and on the trails above the main section of the wall. Pretty fun, you can actually get good cell... More

The great wall in Tianjin is approximately 2h by car from the city. There is a motorway most of the way and the last part is quite pleasant countryside/mountain roads. If you come to China, you simply must visit the great wall! The great wall in Tianjin is the best place to visit the wall if you want to see... More

I was very impressed with the great construction which wa sdone long back when there was no engineering development I climbed the wall a little as it is difficult to climb more The coffee was 35 yuan which is very expensive so dont take coffee and snacks there on the wall shops. Even T shirts etc are also very expensive
