It suited us very well indeed. The location was close enough, yet far enough away from the centre.

Good place, great historical site, no big hotels. The Turkish costline is very much built, so many big hotels and holiday villages. Mt Olympos is an exeption, the area is still natural, only small pensions.

Beautiful nature. There are signs on the road - you won't get lost. However may be not quite easy to go up.

We drove to Mount Olympos (Tahtali) by car. It's a 10 minute drive South-West of Kemer and the scenery is amazing! The road is well sign-posted and there is a barrier on entry which, after passing through, takes you 7km up a winding picturesque route to the cable-car. It is marketed as being the highest mountain nearest the sea, and... More

I have never climbed up the Mt. Olmpos (Tahtali Dag or Wooden mountain) but it stands a majestic 2366m with it's snow covered peaks in the winter months. It is one of the highest mountains shadowing the tiny village of Cirali and is a protected area by the WWF. Situated in the Olympos National Park and can be found 80... More
