It had always been at the top of my places to go, because i'm a keen wreck diver.... maybe but mainly cause of the history surronding the area. The trip out wasn't as bad as i thought although it was 4 flights, none lasted more than 8 hours, which was bearable, a lot of hanging around airports for connecting flights.... More

The thing about Truck Lagoon is that there are wrecks for all levels of divers from 12m to 100m. Lots and lots. Before you go brush up on your deep diving skills or do a specislity with your local operator, it will add 100% to your enjoyment of these stunning memorials to the utter stupidity of war. We dived with... More

The diving of the wrecks was incredible but once you have dived there is nothing else there to do, it is very unsafe and not wise to venture out of the resort.

Diving was excellent, some of the best I have done. Great variety of wrecks including large freighters, patrol boats, zero fighters, sea planes, bombers and a submarine that was present during the Pearl Harbour attack. The resort is well-manicured and it good condition but the rest of Truk is a bit pitiful - falling apart, potholed and strewn with car... More

There is no question about whether Chuuk Lagoon is a world class diving destination, rather the question is how to dive it? Divers opinions are valuable but individual experiences, and therefore cannot be granted. I will share my opinion, which again won´t necessarily be shared by others. Chuuk Lagoon dive sites are fairly confined to an area, which are accessible... More

Let's get something out the way first - the diving in Truk Lagoon is spectacular. You know that. I know that. So I won't waste time here gushing about the quality of the diving. It was the quality of the Truk Odyssey that was a real shock to me. There are really four ways to diveTruk Lagoon - stay in... More
