I have been to several golf courses in the Phoenix area and this is my new favorite. Beautiful mix of desert and mountain terrain. Golf course very well kept. Great greens and fairways. And the best part is it is a little more reasonably priced than some of the others. more

Just returned from AZ, enjoyed this course immensely. Staff was wonderful, we even saw a BOBCAT, apparently he roams between 13 and 14. The views are unbelieveable!! I would recommend this one to all my friends, well worth the money! Also, Tonto Restuarant has great food. more

This is a very pretty course and the scenery is outstanding. I have played this course three times and have always enjoyed playing here. The first time I played I signed up as a single and was partnered with three other players. My only complaint was with the inconsiderate threesome that did show up or bother to call and cancel.... more

Played this course week of Feb 1 2009 and experienced similar service problems reported on other reviews. Upon showing up there was a 2 hour frost delay - ok, not their fault - but the pro shop attendant was blase about it and didn't seem to care how much it inconvenienced people. When we asked about getting on the driving... more

Several of the previous reviewers have talked about rude and poor service. I have not found that to be the case and I have played the course six times over the past two winters (three times each February visit). The prices will vary depending on season, time of day, and whether or not you have coupons (Thurs in Arizona Republic... more

Came down from Washington State in the winter to enjoy desert golf and chose Rancho Manana due to pricing and proximity to our lodging. Bad critera choice. The full rate of $145 on the weekend at 12:45 pm was over-priced compared to the $68 we paid the day before at Sanctuary near Westworld at 1:06 pm. As a matter of... more

The rooms are absolutely beautiful however the staff is rather rude and each blames the other department for problems. We left a pack of sealed graham crackers on the kitchen counter and in the morning they were half eaten. When we went to the desk to advise them they said they've been trying to catch him for a long time... more

I golfed Rancho two days ago and I had a wonderful experience. The group I was with needed to rent clubs and the help got them hooked up with no problems and no fuss. The starter was not at the 1st tee so we started ourselves. We got through 18 in 3 and a half hours. The scenery on the... more

Since we heard how nice it was, we changed our tee times to go there instead. No doubt about... the course looks nice. Unfortunately, the service made it an ugly experience. After waiting on every hole, we tried to help out by allowing a group to play with us on a par 3. When this created space, we were told... more

I played in November 2003 and found this to be top notch golf course with great scenery. Best part was the low greens fee in comparison to other courses in the area. I am not one to fret over the length of a golf course so the shortness didn't bother me at all. Make sure you stop at the Tonto... more
